SUPPORT OUR CAUSE

Our fundraising efforts and your generous donations support scholarships for adolescents whose families are unable to afford the significant out-of-pocket costs incurred for the treatment of a child’s borderline personality disorder (BPD). Since insurance companies do not cover treatment for BPD, this is an enormous obstacle for many families with a child suffering from this mental health disorder.

By supporting Oak Tree Family Fund, you will be helping families who have a child with BPD receive treatment at McLean Hospital, a world-class psychiatric hospital and an affiliate of Harvard Medical School.

McLean’s 3East Adolescent DBT Programs specialize in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), an evidence-based therapy generally recognized as the gold-standard of treatment for individuals with BPD as they work toward recovery. DBT teaches individuals to balance acceptance and change and work toward eliminating behaviors that are dangerous and hinder self-growth and healthy lifestyles.

“We are so grateful for the support of the Oak Tree Family Fund. The generosity of their donors means that more young people can experience the life-changing treatment provided at McLean’s 3East programs.” - Lori Etringer, Chief Development Officer
